Me and Bobby McGee

This is a Bumbastories Singalong!

imagesThe mighty Kris Kristofferson wrote this gem back in 1967. Janis Joplin, of course, did a great cover on it. Maybank and Bumba gave it a go last night. It’s a great song to sing and play, so please join in.

Author: Bumba

Shown on a recent visit to the Big Apple, Bumba has written two literary novels and has recorded two CD soundtrack albums to accompany them. Check it out on Bumba Books.

  1. one of my favorite sing along songs…………… ❀ Thanks for giving me the chance. And, I do like the green………very sharp………..

    1. Busted flat in Baton Rouge/Waiting fopr a train/Feeling nearly faded as my jeans/Bobby thumbed a diesel down just before it rained/ and we rode it all the way to New Orleans/ I pulled my harp out of my dirty red bandana/I was playing soft while Bobby sang the blues/ With the windshield wipers slappin time/ holding Bobby’s hand in mine/ we finally sung up every song that driver knew.
Freedom’s just another word for nothin left to lose…….

  2. I like it too. I’m not very adept at all the wordpress settings. I’m still going to try to make my Library more visible. The way you present your portfolio is a good one. I think I’ll go visit now……
