I know. It’s a compulsion to write on this blog: to think that I have to post something. I know. I know. I’m the one who named this blog Everydayanotherstory in the first place. Well, it was an error on my part. All the same, and on with the show……
I’m hoping here on the blog to introduce people to some of this older, traditional music in hope that they will sing along.
This one is a song everybody knows called House of the Rising Sun.
There is a house in New Orleans
They call the Rising Sun…..
OOooo, Eric Burdon, The Animals… My ex loves this one…and I still do… (my husky cold ridden voice is now purrfect for this one, well, to my cold ridden ears it is š ) !!
because there are so many songs, I’m sure, Stephen, you’ll have enough stuff to continue permanently your blogging – if not every day so at least once a week – so my decision related to music – always on Thursday I’ll try another one – I hope you are not too weak to do the same š
Au contraire, you’ve been turning them out, tooting them out pretty good recently.
I know this song and have always loved it š
Thanks. Me too. It’s fun to try to sing.
I know that same compulsion…
I see.
I love this song, and I’m with Marina, the piano is wonderful. Something about it reminds me of Leon Russell (but that’s another song)………. š ~ Love this. ~ Bobbie
Thanks. I know several versions of this song and tend to mix them all up, so maybe that explains it.
Maybe………..I like different versions. Like writing, each inspires a different emotion such that every one is the best. š
woo hoo, that piano!! Nice, Stephen!
Have a great Wednesday!!
š
Thank you Marina.
