but a with a whimper

It was more like a thud:
A four page summary
Of a farce
It deflates us a bit…..
Deal with it brothers and sisters
The struggle against fascism must go on
The government must work for us
How come the people aren’t on the streets?
Huh? Why not?
We must not grow weary
Let’s see the Mueller Report!

The people
The public
The voters
The viewing audience
We’ve already anted up
No more whimpering, brothers and sisters.
